Contract opening for the role of Datastage Developer at Toronto oN HYBRID

Skill Set: DataStage Developer
Duration: 1 year
Location: Toronto/Hybrid

Must-Have:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related technical field

7+ years of work experience as a Developer or Technical Systems Analyst

3+ years of work experience on Information Technology projects supporting an enterprise-wide environment.

Strong technical experience working with IBM Data Stage, SQL and Shell scripting.

Experience working on projects developing and implementing applications for business stakeholders.
·
Strong analytical skillset, including the ability to transform business logic described in business requirements into solutions that include integration between DataStage servers and databases.
A self-starter attitude (e.g., someone who can take initiative to own their project and drive it to completion)

Hands-on working knowledge of SQL Server

Dig deep into performance, scalability, capacity, and reliability problems to resolve them.

Experience with design patterns, data structures and algorithms, a strong mathematical/analytical background.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Previous experience in Finance or FinTech
  • Working knowledge of Confluence and/or Jira would be an asset.
  • Experience in agile or design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience with SCM tools such as GitHub, Subversion, CA Harvest would be an asset.
  • Experience working with DevOps pipelines (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy), continuous integration/delivery, automated testing (unit, functional, performance)
  • Experience working with Scheduling tools - Stonebranch / Autosys and Cloud Technologies
  • Understanding of the Capital Markets trading and reference data and relationships
  • Prior experience of working with internal resources and offshore delivery center operating in a time zone different from the primary work location.
