Your new company
Our client, a leading global chemistry company across US, Canada, Asia and Europe, is going through a Digital Transformation. They are building a Digital Hub for the global business in Toronto city. Therefore, we are hiring multiple technology talents with ambition to join the digital hub. Your new role
- Designing and implementing data ingestion strategies using SLT SAP to stream data towards our Azure Enterprise Data Lake.
- Maintaining and monitoring data ingestion across various platforms and systems.
- Designing and constructing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to handle substantial volumes of data from multiple sources.
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborating with the Data Integration team and Business Data Owners to align infrastructure components and troubleshoot data-related issues for optimal performance.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation for data ingestion processes and testing new features and recommending beneficial implementations.
What you'll need to succeed
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
- A minimum of 4–5 years’ experience as Data Engineer with SAP Data and familiarity with Big Data concepts.
- Proficient in software engineering and development skills using Python and Git,
with Spark or PySpark. - Familiarity with Databricks and Azure cloud environments, as well as SAP Data or SAP Datasphere or similar SAP environments.
- Experience in an Agile way of working with a DevOps mindset
- Strong understanding of Big Data concepts and SAP, ideally supported by vendor certifications (e.g., Microsoft, SAP).
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
