• Conducting site walk-throughs to generate accurate estimates for labour and materials required for electrical jobs.
• Engaging suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for estimates.
• Providing timely estimates to customers and following up as needed.
• Managing changes in the scope of work.
• Reviewing specifications and drawings thoroughly to understand the requested work.
• Providing direction and support to field personnel (electricians and apprentices) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Managing personnel to ensure cost-effective, safe, and timely project completion that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and resolving project-related issues.
• Promoting the companies' brand, product services and offerings, and identifying additional opportunities at customer facilities.
• Providing leadership and training to electricians and apprentices.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety practices.
• Reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical problems on industrial machinery on an emergency basis.
• Following up on completed work to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Following up on quoted work to drive sales.

What you'll need to succeed

• A 309A and/or M.E. designation.
• 8-10 years of electrical experience in an industrial setting.
• 5+ years of experience in quoting projects and project management.
• Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
• A valid and clean driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• A highly motivated, positive, and entrepreneurial attitude.
