Your new role

• Tracking invoices against contracts and purchase orders
• Obtaining missing information, backup, and/or approvals and solving process-related problems with vendor invoices
• Entering invoices accurately and completing the monthly draws on time
• Executing regular cheque and EFT runs, including matching supporting backup for each payment
• Contacting vendors to request refunds for outstanding credit balances when necessary
• Communicating with project managers
• Reconciling vendor statements, handling phone requests, and obtaining information needed to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors
• Effectively communicating with team members and business partners

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need to have over 3 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment. A university degree or college diploma in Finance, Economics, or Accounting is required, either in progress or completed. You must have excellent communication and writing skills, a strong work ethic, and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

What you'll get in return

Our client offers a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, along with health benefits, 3 weeks’ vacation, tuition reimbursement, summer hours, and additional days off for the Christmas – New Year shutdown. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll be an integral part of the team, ensuring smooth and accurate accounts payable operations while contributing to a positive work environment.
