Looking for a Senior Solution Architect

Role: Senior Solution Architect

Location: Remote, Canada

Length: 11 months

ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Solutions Architecture, within our Products & Technology organization, the Senior Solution Architect will provide the opportunity to invest in new business models that leverage our knowledge and design technology solutions for the growing digital market. Each new solution focuses on data-driven platforms or other intellectual property-based solutions that leverage emerging technologies and new business models.

Education/Certification

● Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering

● Azure/Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer) preferred

● Microsoft Development Certifications preferred

Technical Skills required

Azure Cloud - Must have
Azure Services - Must have
.Net
Experience designing, building, deploying and supporting enterprise level solutions with a cloud-first approach.
Familiarity with 2 of the 3 main cloud platforms:
Azure, AWS, GCP
Experience with Azure Services
Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and several of the Azure AI Services
Service-oriented, event-driven and microservice architectures;
Persistence such as RDBMS/NoSQL (MS SQL, Mongo DB) data stores and appropriate use cases;
Containerization, and experience of using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
DevOps such as CD/CI, virtualisation, automation, continuous integration;
Experience with software development platforms and defect tracking systems like Azure DevOps, GitHub, JIRA
Knowledge regarding GenAI technologies is highly desirable (LLM models, Agent Orchestration Frameworks, Vector Databases, Microsoft Copilots, etc.
Working with high level UX principles such as user stories, personal building, prototype/prototype development approaches
Experience with Agile methodologies
Knowledge about Microsoft Fabrics and Azure Databricks
Power Platform & BizTalk knowledge (Nice to have)

Deliverables

● Solution technology projects executed by Development teams

● Provide technical guidance regarding tools, frameworks, and platforms

● Design applications or services within the organization.

● Collect and/or clarify existing business requirements.

● Actively support the implementation and execution of the processes for the definition, maintenance, and compliance management of the Enterprise Architecture

● Shape and deliver digital products to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

● Proactively assist Enterprise Architects in assessing technology solutions.

● Be actively involved in planned or unplanned business development activities to help identify and research opportunities for new/existing clients

● Supervise and support vendor’s developers in the context of projects.

● Execute periodical code reviews.

● Continue to improve our internal development and design techniques and keep our documentation up to date.

● Continue to develop internal relationships
