Corporate Controller required for a Manufacturing company in Delta.

Your new company

An industry leading manufacturer serving the aviation and aerospace industries.

Your new role

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the companies' financial reporting and accounting operations. The role will involve consolidating financials, managing reporting to head office in Europe and working with auditors to file taxes in both Canada and the US. You will maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance, find ways to improve and streamline processes and manage company funds and anticipate borrowing needs. For the financial reporting, you will prepare statements in accordance with GAAP & IFRS and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements. You will provide detailed variance analysis, coordinate with corporate teams, manage the general ledger and conduct monthly and annual closing activities. You will, in addition to this, provide strategic financial analysis among other duties.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a strong, process-improvement driven self-starter who is highly accountable and able to work 'in the grey' and formulate plans for moving forwards. Strong communication is a must while dealing with both the European and North American teams and relationship management will be key. You will be strong on MS Excel, have worked on consolidated financial reporting and to IFRS previously, and experience of US Finance is an asset. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has spent some time in an industry based role and has experience of working alongside operational teams. While a CPA is a nice to have, it is not required, but previous experience in a similar role is. We are looking for someone who can show that they have worked in an environment before where they have made a positive impact.

What you'll get in return

To work with an awesome team who know how to laugh and enjoy themselves. To work in a rapidly growing company with the potential to move internationally if that were ever desired, and also the ability to carve out your own path for progression. The role offers a competitive salary and 4 weeks' vacation. On top of that, you get every second Friday off and the company shuts down during Christmas! You get an RRSP match of 5% after 3 months, and fantastic benefits from day one. While the role will be full-time on site in Delta for the first few months as you learn the ropes, it can then transition into more of a hybrid model with a day or so of work from home a week.
