Based in Vancouver, our client specializes in Residential, Multi-Family, Commercial, & Institutional construction looking for a controller to lead all aspects of the accounting team.

Your new role

• Lead and manage all aspects of the accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Oversee project accounting and job cost tracking, ensuring alignment with project budgets and forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provide accurate financial information to owners and management, including financial planning and forecasts.

• Oversee corporate tax reporting across operating companies.

• Train and manage direct reports.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).

• 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (Controller or higher).

• Solid experience within construction with a strong understanding of project-based accounting, job costing, and financial reporting.

• Extensive knowledge of Canadian tax laws related to corporate and individual taxes.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
