Drywall Project Manager - Toronto

Hays has partnered with one of the leading drywall companies in the GTA. This leading construction company specializes in both commercial and residential projects. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drywall Project Manager to join the dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing. You will be working on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings and residential homes.
The project manager will be responsible for managing the project and all day-to-day activities that come with that. They will also be responsible for all subtrades and ensuring communication between all stakeholders is maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
  • Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
  • Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in the compound.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure project completion.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Drywaller.
  • Proficiency in using drywall tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
