Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drywall Project Manager to join the dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing. You will be working on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings and residential homes.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drywall Project Manager to join the dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing. You will be working on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings and residential homes.
The project manager will be responsible for managing the project and all day-to-day activities that come with that. They will also be responsible for all subtrades and ensuring communication between all stakeholders is maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
- Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
- Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in the compound.
- Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
- Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
- Work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure project completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Drywaller.
- Proficiency in using drywall tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
