A boutique architectural practice specializing in residential, hospitality and commercial projects is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team. Led by a multidisciplinary principal in the Calgary core. *this is an in office position

Your new role

In your role, your duties and responsibilities will include: overseeing the technical drawing stage, providing contract administration and production drawings support in Revit, developing technical alternatives as needed. Ensure that drawings comply with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Interpreting Building Codes and AHJ comments and develop the appropriate response. Providing support for Contract Administration process, site review and documentation. Communicate directly with clients, contractors, product suppliers and others. Collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have minimum of 7 years’ experience as an architectural technologist, local experience is strongly preferred. Prior commercial, residential and/ or hospitality project experience is required. You will have an Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent and LEED AP is considered a strong asset. You must have proficiency with the following platforms: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up. Experience managing a project from conception to completion is ideal. Sound knowledge of local building codes and bylaws is required.
